Tear gassing and strike cripples life
Baramulla, Apr 24: Police fired teargas shells to disperse a mob, protesting the killing of two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commanders in the town where general strike crippled life for the second consecutive day today.
Police fired dozens of teargas shells and resorted to lathi charge to disperse the demonstrators.
Scores of people were injured in the police action.
Shops and business establishments in the town and adjourning areas remainded closed and traffic was off the road.
Yesterday security forces killed two HM commanders in the city.
