Swamy hits out at Karunanidhi
Chennai, Apr 24 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's call for India's intervention in Sri Lanka to bring about peace, reflected the ''bankruptcy'' of his past policies.
In a statement here, he said the Chief Minister owed an apology for having condemned 'Rajiv Gandhi-Jayawardene India-Sri Lanka agreement' and opposed the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF).
Mr Karunanidhi should also ask LTTE chief V Prabhakaran and its intelligence chief Pottu Amman, declared as proclaimed offenders in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, to surrender to face trial in the case, before seeking India's intervention.
