Suspension of six legislators revoked
Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) The Maharashtra legislative assembly today passed a resolution, tabled by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshwardhan Patil, withdrawing the suspension of six legislators, who were involved in hurling books at the chair and even throwing a table in the well of the House.
The members were suspended on April 1 for a year.
The resolution for withdrawing the punishment was tabled and subsequently passed.
The six legislators--Raj Purohit, Sanjay Kute (BJP), Arjun Khotkar (Sena) Bachchu Kadu, Sanjay Chauhan (Ind) and Wanamrao Chatap (SBP) will now be able to attend the House tomorrow, the last day of the budget session.
