Stir affects JIPMER OP dept

Puducherry, Apr 24 (UNI) Functioning of the out-patients department at the centrally-administered JIPMER here was affected as anti-conversion action committee members of the hospital struck work for four hours today.

The agitation was to protest against the move to convert JIPMER in to an autonomous institution and passing of the JIPMER bill in the Parliament yesterday.

The agitators held a demonstration in front of the JIPMER administrative block.
