Silver, Gold plunge

Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) Silver today crashed by Rs 520 per kg and Gold by Rs 155 per ten gm on persistent selling pressure from stockists, triggered by fall in overseas market, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fines grade : Rs 23,175 (23,695) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,730 (11,885) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,785 (11,940).
