Ratta Group to set up IT SEZ near Chennai
Chennai, Apr 24 (UNI) Rattha Group, one of country's fastest growing business conglomerates, today announced plans for a major IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) -- 'Estra IT SEZ' costing Rs 1,750 crore at Porur, near here.
Spread over four blocks, the new IT SEZ would effectively create 4.5 million square feet of world class business space with employment opportunities for over 50,000 professionals upon completion by 2012, Company Chairman H S Rattha told newspersons here. Block I comprising 11 lakh sqft would be ready for occupation by December 2009.
The Master Planning for this SEZ is being done by world renowned architects HOK from the US, he added.
Spread across 26 acre of prime real estate in the city, the proposed SEZ would be a multi-tenanted green building that would offer high standards of business, lifestyle and management, he said.
Estra IT SEZ would offer a fully integrated business environment complete with lifestyle amenities including 24 hours back-up power supply, spacious fine dining restaurants, retail outlets and other recreation areas such as state-of-the-art gymnasium, multi-storied car parking to catering to over 15,000 cars and a 100-room service hotel. It would also offer Incubation Space to its customers.
Estra IT SEZ was strategically located in the city and in the vicinity of large residential areas, he said.
