Rain, thundershowers at island, isolated places

Pune, Apr 24 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers may also hit isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Vidarbha and at isolated places in Haryana, west Rajasthan and Rayalseema. Hot day conditions prevailed in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Chattisgarh, Telangana and in remaining parts of Haryana, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and were above normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal and in remaining parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

They were below normal in some parts of south interior Karnataka.

They were normal over the rest of the country.
