Prachanda confirms he will lead new government

Kathmandu, Apr 24 (UNI) Maoist Chairman Prachanda today confirmed that he will lead the next government in Nepal.

The meeting of the CPN-Maoist Central Secretariat put the responsibility of the new government's leadership upon him, Mr Prachanda informed.

Addressing an inaugural programme of Heart Transplant Centre at a hospital in the capital city, he said the to-be-formed government led by him will fully implement the policies relating education and health, which have been established as the fundamental rights in the interim constitution.

He also stressed that the new constitution must be drafted through coordination among the political parties and called on all parties to avoid unnecessary competition.
