Meter reader booked under Anti Corruption Act
Agra, Apr 24 (UNI) Anti-corruption department sleuths booked a former Power department employee for possessing disproportionate assets in New Agra station area here late last night, police said today.
Mahendra Pratap Singh, a meter reader, earned about Rs 16 lakh during his service tenure from 1978-2003.
However, the anti-corruption personnel found property worth over 35 lakh from him.
Failing to produce any proof for the assets, Singh was booked under the Anti-Corruption Act.
