Interim relief for scribes to be decided by wage boad: Govt
New Delhi, Apr 23 (UNI) The Government today said the issue of the payment of interim relief for journalists and non-journalists will be conveyed to the wage board.
In a passing statement to the wage board during his reply in the Rajya Sabha on discussion of the labour problems in the country, Minister of State for Labour Oscar Fernandes said the interim relief issue will be referred to the wage board.
Even after CPI member D Raja asked the minister to go into the details of the matter of the wage board, the Minister said he would give a detailed report later.
Earlier, during the discussion on the Working of the Labour Ministry, Congress member Ramchandra Kunthiam demanded information from Mr Fernandes, on the progress on the wage board.
