HDFC Q4 net up 37.12% at Rs 471.11 cr, FY08 net up 39.3%

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) HDFC Bank Ltd today said it has posted an increase of 37.12 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 471.11 crore as compared to Rs 343.57 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The company said in a statement that its total income for the quarter has jumped 51.03 per cent to Rs 3,505.52 crore from Rs 2,320.97 crore.

Its net profit for the year ended March 31, 2008 increased 39.3 per cent to Rs 1,590.18 crore as compared to Rs 1,141.45 crore in the last year.

The total income for FY08 increased 51.9 per cent to Rs 12,398.15 crore from last year's Rs 8,164.16 crore.

The Group posted an increase of 38.6 per cent in its net profit for the year ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 1,595.07 crore as against Rs 1,150.96 crore a year ago.

The Group total income for FY08 increased nearly 52 per cent to Rs 12,495.53 crore from Rs 8,223.43 crore.
