HDFC Bank reports Rs 471.11cr profit for Q4

Mumbai, Apr 24: HDFC Bank today announced a net profit of Rs 471.11 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as against Rs 343.57 crore earned during the same quarter previous fiscal. Total income has increased from Rs 2,320.97 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 3,505.52 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 according to a filing before the BSE.

During Fiscal 2008 the Bank posted a net profit of Rs 1,590.19 crore as against Rs 1,141.45 crore reported for fiscal 2007. Total income has increased from Rs 8,164.16 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 12,398.15 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008. The Group has posted a net profit attributable to group of Rs 1,595.07 cr for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 1,150.96 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total income has increased from Rs 8,223.43 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 12,495.53 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008.
