Frontal organisations are backbone of party:CM
Hyderabad, Apr 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the frontal organisations of the party like the National Students Union of India (NSUI) and Youth Congress and service organisations were the backbone of the Congress.
Addressing NSUI activists at its orientation programme at Gandhi Bhavan here, he said these organisations should strive hard to strengthen the party and enhance its image by helping the people in solving their problems.
The Chief Minsiter said the state government had given priority to education and initiated several measures to provide quality education in the state.
The government had set up several engineering and medical colleges and universities in the state during the last four years in the Backward areas, to provide professional education to people in rural areas.
It had initiated measures to create employmentopportunities for the unemployed youth and the government was able to provide direct employment to three lakh people in Information Technology Companies, he claimed.
Stating that the state government had provided Rs 400 crore in the budget to provide training for one lakh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minority students for their better placements, he said the government had established knowledge centres in all degree colleges in the state.
