Five who conspired to kidnap held

Hyderabad, Apr 24 (UNI) The Sleuths of Commissioner's task force, Central Zone today arrested five people, who conspired to kidnap the Country club Chairman Rajiv Reddy, and seized detonators, gelatin sticks and live round of 410 muskets from their possession.

Police said, acting on a tip off, the special team arrested five people at Jubilee bus station where they were planning to kidnap Rajiv Reddy.

The accused Syed Abed Hussain alias Ali Bhai, a kidnapper and gangster and Patila Goverdhan Reddy of Revolutionary Patriotic Tigers (RPT), both lodged in Chenchalguda jail, planned to kidnap the Mr Reddy and demand Rs 20 crore ransom from the family.

The others arrested were identified as Patolla Sudharshan Reddy, C Baapu Reddy, K Prabhakar, V Praveen Kumar Reddy and B Sekhar.

The special teams launched a manhunt to nab the other kidnap-gang in the city.
