Demand for Haj House in MP capital

Bhopal, Apr 24 (UNI) The Joint Front of Minorities will take out a massive rally tomorrow from Iqbal Maidan to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence to stage a demonstration and court arrest in support of a demand for construction of a Haj House here.

''Over the past several years, I have been struggling for fulfillment of this demand. To gather public support, I have visited Sehore, Astha, Ichawar, Shyampur, Vidisha and several surrounding places and also written to heads of every political party,'' Front President Arif Masood said at a press conference here today.

He wrote to Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel and the State Haj Comittee for a direct Haj flight from here as pilgrims were finding it difficult to fly first from Indore to Mumbai and then to Jeddah.

''Some mischievous elements are wrongly saying that land has been allotted for House construction,'' Mr Masood added.
