Chhattisgarh CM welcomes Rahul visit
Raipur, Apr 24 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today described Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's two-day visit to this state, starting tomorrow, as a ''positive step'' and added that there was nothing wrong in an endeavour to get to know the country better.
''Mr Gandhi is young and is trying to gain political experience,'' he told reporters here while declining comment on remarks of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati and her Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the Amethi MP's 'Discover India' campaign.
Dr Singh assured that the state government would provide adequate security to Mr Gandhi.
