Blast at MLA's residence, two militants killed
Imphal, Apr 24 (UNI) One person was injured when a bomb exploded near Congress MLA T Mangibabu's residence at the high security Babupara area, VIP colony, here today.
Police said the bomb, kept on a two wheeler, went off near the gate of the MLA's residence injuring a passerby.
The man was rushed to Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
Red alert has been sounded in the area, where the official quarters of other legislators were also located, and investigation was on.
In another incident, two militants were killed in a police encounter at Imphal East last night, police said adding that huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from them.
