Rupee opens 3 paise up at 39.94/95 per USD

Mumbai, Apr 23: Rupee today resumed three paise high at 39.94/95 compared to its last close at 39.97/98 against US Dollar on fresh selling presure of dollar by local dealers.

Dealers said, ''Rupee little moved today and it is likely to hold around 40 per dollar ahead of next week's monetary policy review as expectations grew that interest rates may rise.'' Later, Rupee was trading in a narrow range and quoted between at 39.93 and 39.96 per dollar in view of bearish phase at Indian bources, dealers added.
