Patil orders CID inquiry into violent incident at Raver
Mumbai, Apr 23 (UNI) Maharashtra deputy chief minister R R Patil today ordered CID inquiry into the violent incident at Raver in which the opposition alleged that tribal women were beaten up.
Making a statement in the state assembly on a calling attention notice given by Eknath Khadse (BJP), Mr Patil, who also holds Home portfolio, said the government would take action against the cops if found guilty.
Mr Khadse said the tribal women had organised a 'morcha' demanding closure of liquor shops there.
