Kanaji Thakore is Ahmedabad's new Mayor
Ahmedabad, April 23 (UNI) Kanaji Thakor and Dr Kalpana Bhatt of BJP were elected for the post of city's Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively at a meeting of the General Board of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today.
Thakor is a third-time councillor from the Madhupura ward and Dr Bhatt has become the councillor for the second time from Naroda Muthiya ward.
The BJP enjoyed getting a comfortable majority in the AMC.
