Intnl workshop on tubes, pipes production from April 25

Tiruchirapalli, Apr 23 (UNI) A two-day international workshop on 'Tubes and Pipes Production and Processing' (TAP3) would begin here on April 25.

It would be jointly organised by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), Tiruchirappalli, and the local chapter of Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), a release from BHEL said here today.

BHEL, Tiruchirappalli, Executive Director, R N Misra would preside over the inaugural function, while BHEL, New Delhi (Industry systems and Products) Director B P Rao would inaugurate the workshop, which would highlight the emerging technologies in the production and processing of tubes and pipes, the release added.

The workshop aimed at helping industries to adopt new technologies to produce high quality products. It would provide a platform for tube and pipe manufacturers and the users to understand each others' requirements in a better way, the release added.

About 225 delegates, including design, manufacturing and welding engineers from power equipment manufacturers, component manufacturers from both power and automobile sector, across the globe would attend the two-day event.
