INLD accuses Govt of violating code of conduct
Chandigarh, Apr 23 (UNI) The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) today alleged that the Haryana government had blatantly violated the election code of conduct by making certain announcements after the notification of the bypoll in three constituencies in the state.
Talking to reporters here, INLD secretary general Ajay Singh Chautala said the government's move to revise the allotment policy for 100 sq yard plots for the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families was a blatant attempt to attract votebank in the bypolls.
He said the other such announcement was promise of setting up an engineering college made by the Vice Chancellor Khanpur Kalan Women University which fell in Gohana constituency going to polls on May 22.
Mr Chautala said they had written a letter to the Election Commission in this regard and would send a party delegation, if the need be.
