HC asks Dist Judges to submit report on pending NBWs
Mumbai, Apr 23 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed all the district Judges in Maharashtra to submit a report of non-bailable warrants (NBWs), pending execution before them.
The report, to be submitted in the next 3 months, will bring to light the number of underworld dons, drug mafias and other most wanted criminals in the state.
A Division Bench of Justice Bilal Nakzi and Justice Ashok Bhangale sought details of the NBWs.
There are over 5.5 lakh NBWs, pending execution all over the state, court sources said.
