Bangalore, Apr 23 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office hereat 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over the State.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Mudibidre, Mangalore, Hubli, K.R.Pet, Shimoga 3 each; Karkala, Kalghatgi, Mundargi, Jayapura, N.R.Pura, Yegati, Konanur, Gundlupet, Madikeri 2 each; Jagalbet, Ranebennur, Somwarpet, Agumbe, Shikaripur, Kammardi, Kadur, Sravanabelgola, Pandavapura, Huliyurdurga, Davanagere, Kadajji 1 each.

Maximum Temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at a few places over the State.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42.2 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
