Delhi-bound Shramjeevi Exp derails in Bihar

Patna, Apr 23: The engine and about eight bogies of the Delhi-bound Shramjeevi Express derailed at Soh-Sarai halt in between Bakhtiyarpur and Dina railway station in Nalanda district at 0910 hrs today. Railway sources said the train, that originated from Rajgir, was on its way to Delhi on the UP line of Danapur division under East Central Railways.

The sources said accident relief trains were being rushed to the spot from Danapur and Jhajha. The ECR divisional railway manager has also rushed to the spot. However, the reason behind the accident was not known, said the sources. Meanwhile, eye witnesses said the acident occurred because of a ditch made due to some undergoing construction works of the railway. No injury or casualty has been reported so far.
