BJP to support defence personnel's protest against Pay Report
New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) The BJP today announced that it would support the proposed dharna by defence personnel here on April 26 in protest against anomalies in the recommendations of the sixth Pay Commission.
A decision to this effect was taken at the BJP Parliamentary Party, which met under chairmanship of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani, this morning.
The party urged the UPA Government to take steps to remove anomalies in the Commission's report with which a large number of government employees and defence personnel were dissatisfied.
''Some mechanism has to be evolved to ensure that they are not discriminated against,'' party sources said.
