3 killed in car-bus collision

Thrissur, Apr 23 (UNI) Three persons, including two women, were killed and a child injured when their car collided with a private bus at Pattikkad on the Thrissur-Palakkad National Highway today.

The injured child has been admitted to a private hospital here.

While the deceased have not been identified so far, the car, which was coming to Thrissur had a Karnataka registration number plate, police said. The bus was on its way to Palakkad from Thrissur.

The car was completely mangled in the collision. Traffic on the highway was blocked for a few hours following the accident this afternoon.
