Snow leopard in Kufri awaits partner

Kufri, April 21, 2008 : The forest department in India's northern Himachal Pradesh is making efforts to find a mate for the only snow leopard named 'Subhash' that they are left with for breeding.

The state's forest department is frantically searching for a female snow leopard to start with the breeding programme after which they will be released in their natural Trans Himalayan habitat in Spiti of Himachal Pradesh.
