Rally against female foeticide organised

Chandigarh, Apr 22 (UNI) As part of the ongoing campaign against female foeticide, a rally was organized by the Health Department of Chandigarh Administration at Karsan village.

The rally consisted of doctors, auxiliary nurse mid wives and multi purpose male workers and local leaders. Some social activists and others also joined the rally in sensitizing the local community to curb female foeticide.

The participants in the rally held placards with slogans written on them, depicting the importance of girl child.

The campaign "Save girl Child" is being organized to sensitize the local people to curb the abhorrent practice of sex determination and sex selection.
