Prabhunath seeks Parliament's panel to review 6th Pay Report
New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Prabhunath Singh of the Janata Dal(United) today sought setting up of a Parlimentary panel to review the report of the sixth Pay Commission in view of the acute resentment in the armed forces and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers over its recommendations.
Raising the issue during zero hour in the Lok Sabha, he said barring IAS officers, all sections of government employees were dissatified with the recommendations.
Terming the pay panel report "imbalanced", Mr Singh said it has become imperative to set up a Parliamentary Committee to review it and correct imbalances in it so that it could calm all those who have voiced their protest against its recommendation.
The pay panel has recommeded on an average 28 per cent across the board hike in the pay of nearly 4 million of central government employees.
