Pakistani, Turkish air forces conduct joint drills
Islamabad, Apr 22 (UNI) A multi-dimensional joint exercise ''Indus Viper'' by the Pakistan and Turkish Air Force (TAF) has begun with the two forces focusing on modern air warfare doctrines and tactics.
A TAF contingent arrived with five F-16 C/D aircraft and 50 personnel at the Pakistan Air Force Base Mushaf in Sargodha to participate in the ten-day exercise.
Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (operations) Air Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman said yesterday the event marked the beginning of a new era with the air forces of the two countries.
He said TAF had always lived up to its esteemed traditions and earned a well-deserved name in the ranks of modern air forces.
