New classic drama from Apr 27 on DD National

Lucknow, Apr 22 (UNI) A new family teleserial-- Bikhri aas Nikhri Preet -- based on Hindi novel 'Vyavdhaan' will hit the small screens on April 27 when it will be telecast on Doordarshan National channel.

The new serial, producted by NRI owned Kanika Mutliscope Pvt Limited, would de telecast on DD National every Sunday at 2100 hrs.

The 52 eposide teleserial, directed by famous Lekh Tandon and music by Khayyam, would depict an emotional saga epitomising boundless love and unfathomable devotion exuded by true to life and down to earth real characters ably portrayed by handpicked talents.

Talking to mediapersons here yesterday, director of the teleserial Lekh Tandon said the story of the serial has been conceived as an emotional saga of love and loss displayed through the passion and perils of two families and their bond, which carries across different generations.

The Hindi nobel 'Vyavdhaan' was penned by late Shanti Kumar Bajpai way back in 1963 and was one of the literary classics of that period.

Mr Tandon claimed that this new serial will certainly give an opportunity to the people to watch classic drama against the ''exhausting'' Saas-Bahu serials.
