Hindi version of 'Samjhota Express' to be launched in Delhi on Saturday

Lahore, Apr 22 : The Hindi edition of the book Samjhota Express will be held at the Islamic Cultural Centre in New Delhi on April 26 amid the presence of film and literary personalities both from India and Pakistan.

Pak-India Peace Initiative (PIPI) president Awais Sheikh has written the book, said PIPI's Lahore chapter joint secretary Maleeha Humayun.

Former Indian prime minister IK Gujral and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will be the chief guest and the guest of honour, respectively, at the ceremony, reported the Dawn.

Among those who will speak on the occasion will include former chief justice of Delhi High Court Rajinder Sachar, former UNO assistant secretary-general Zia Rizvi (Pakistan), Delhi Tax Bar Association president Prem Lata Bansal, Asian Association of Film and TV director Sandeep Marwah, Siddharth Publication executive Siddharth Raj Malhotra, writer Tridivesh Singh (India) and Maleeha Humayun.

A 23-member PIPI delegation, headed by author Awais Sheikh, will participate in the ceremony in India, and will cross Wagah on April 25.
