Two Chile employees of TCS asked to go on administrative leave
Mumbai, Apr 21 (UNI) Software major Tata Consultancy Services today announced that two of its employees in Chile have been asked to go on administrative leave following suspected involvement in unethical practices, leading to cancellation of a contract with the Chilean government.
The 70 Million dollar contract offered by the Civil Registry of Chile Government was for ten years and awarded last year.
Announcing this at a press conference here, Mr Phiroz Vandrevala.
Executive Director, Head Global Corporate Affairs of TCS, the Chile government had ordered an investigation into the contract and had found suspected involvement of two of TCS employees, both local, As part of the Tatas code of conduct for ethical practices, the two employees have been asked to go on administrative leave and TCS has extended full cooperation to the investigation. He declined to spell out the nature of the breach of code of ethical practices, stating that the matter was subjudice.
