State Bank of Patiala first public sector fully compterised ban
Patiala, Apr 21 (UNI) The State Bank of Patiala (SBP) is the first Public Sector Bank to be fully computerised after networking and implementation of Core Banking in all the branches in August 2005.
In a press release issued by SBP said that the bank achieved the milestone of being the first Public Sector Bank to be fully on Core Banking Soloution (CBS). With its 798 branches and 50 extension counters, SBP provides 'Any where Any time' banking services to the customers.
All branches are RTGS/NEFT enabled and provide latest technology products/services like Internet banking both for non-financial transactions like statement of accounts, cheque-book request and financial transactions like on-line inter/intra bank fund transfer, online payment of Central excise, Service tax and direct taxes, online booking of railway tickets, utility bills, insurance premium and SBI credit card payment.
The Bank has expanded its ATM network and has 441 ATMs with ATM card base of 12.63 lakh. The customers are offered the state-ofart technology such as Card-to-Card fund transfer between State Bank Group card holders through ATMs, fee payments, donations to religious bodies, international ATM-cum-debit card and special muti-purpose smart card (Combo Card).
SBP also provides transaction based SMS alerts to customers and remittance facility "Grpt" for real-time transfer of funds, within the State Bank Group.
