Hospital staff assaulted for alleged negligence

Krishnagar, Apr 21 (UNI) An irate mob today assaulted the staff of the Kalyani Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital here after a four-year-old girl died at the hospital shortly after being admitted.

The girl's father Ashok Mondol alleged that his daughter died due to the negligence of the hospital authorities.

The mob attacked the hospital's staff as well as Superintendent Dr Nirupam Biswas and damaged property.

However, the Superintnedent denied the allegations.

Police later arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control.
