UP feels the heat at 42 degrees Celsius
Lucknow, Apr 20 (UNI) People of Uttar Pradesh are witnessing scorching heat, with the temperature touching 42 degrees Celsius.
According to the met department, the day temperature recorded an increase in Moradabad, Jhansi and Meerut divisions in the last 24 hours.
In Varanasi division, the temperature was several notches above normal. During the day time, the maximum temperture in Varanasi stood at 42 degrees, which was three degrees above normal.
The maximum temperature in Allahabad was 40 degrees, Jhansi at 39.5, Kanpur and Agra at 39.4 and Lucknow at 39.5, which vary from one to two degree above normal.
Meanwhile, the weatherman has forecast a dry weather for the next 24 hours.
