PM to release stamp on Civil Service
New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the Third Civil Service Day tomorrow and release a commemorative stamp on the Civil Service.
The theme for this year's Civil Service Day is Innovations in Administration'.
Dr Singh will give away the PM Award for Excellence in Public Administration' for 2006-07 to 13 outstanding initiatives from different States, Ministries and organisations.
He will also inaugurate an exhibition on Innovations in Administration', and release a book titled 'Splendour in the Grass', compiled by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.
The book covers various innovations successfully tried out by different Ministries, Departments, State and UT administrations, and national and international organisations.
Further, a film, Making a Difference' which is a collage of innovations undertaken across the country, will also be screened, an official release said here today.
