Maximum procurement at support price: CM
Bhopal, Apr 20 (UNI) In a bid to provide wheat at Rs three per kg under the Annapurna Scheme of the Madhya Pradesh government, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said there was a need of procuring maximum wheat at support price.
Interacting with all the commissioners, district presidents and officers concerned through vodeo conferencing, Mr Chouhan said he would inspect wheat purchase in the agricultural produce markets during his tours.
He also directed the commissioners and district presidents to do the same.
''If complaints are received regarding parameters not being followed in the wheat purchase then cases will be registered,'' he said.
After the formal launch of the Annapurna Scheme here and at Indore on April 26, foodgrain at cheaper rates would be made available to every district headquarters on different dates through the Garib Sammelans.
