HPTDC held business development meet in Mumbai
Shimla, Apr 20 (UNI) In a bid to sell existing tourist facilities and to attract more tourists in the state, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) had organised a Business Development meet in Mumbai.
Addressing the Agents and Travel Writers in meet Commissioner and Managing Director of HPTDC Mr. Ram Subhag Singh said that Apart from the natural beauty which offers much to the tourists, the adventure seekers, nature lovers, peaceful and safe environment of state has become a major attraction for the visitors in state.
The Commissioner further said that the HPTDC is a sole organization in state who has set up a wide range of accommodation, catering, transport, adventure, sports and conference facilities that suite to every segment of the society.
Mr. Singh informed that corporation has recently has started Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Therapy and Health Club at its Shimla based hotel and Panchakarma in Palampur. Such activities will also be provided to some other hotels of HPTDC.
He said that special emphasis are being given to attract the visitors towards tribal areas of the state and for that Chopper services from Shimla will take place very soon.
The commissioner announced that the travel agents commission has already increased from existing 12 percent to 15 percent on the minimum level for regular travel agents for HPTDC.
