3 members of family among 5 killed in road accidents in Punjab
Hoshiarpur, Apr 20 (UNI) Five people were killed in two separate road accidents in the district since last night, police said today.
According to the police sources, Sandip Kumar, alias Sonu of Gaja Gillian and Amrik Singh of Satnaur were killed when their two-wheeler collided with a car near Garhshankar today.
The duo, succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital.
The police had registered a case.
In the second accident, three members of a family were killed when their vehicle in which they were travelling was hit by a tourist coach near Tuto Mazara village in the district late last night.
The deceased were identified as Jasvir Singh (45), his wife, Jaswinder Kaur and their son, Amandeep.
The trio, residents of Sarhala Khurd village, were on their way home when the accident occurred.
A case under Sections 279, 304 A, 427 of the IPC has been registered at the Mahilpur police station.
