Zoo authorities encourage corporates to adopt animals

Ahmedabad, Apr 18th 2008 : Zoo authorities in India's western Ahmedabad are encouraging corporates and individuals to come forward and adopt animals in an effort to promote wildlife protection under the 'Friends of Zoo' programme.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation or AMC has initiated the concept and the Kamala Nehru Zoological Park, popularly known as Kankaria zoo is planning to implement the initiative in a bid to lend it a world-class look and create awareness about wildlife among citizens.
