Hamirpur, Apr 19 (UNI) The three-member police team to Uttar Pradesh has not met with any success in recovering the school boy who was kidnapped from Jasai village in Hamirpur district on April 16, police sources said today.

The team, comprising a DSP, a sub inspector and a constable, were co-ordinating with Uttar Pradesh Police in locating the whereabouts of the kidnappers who belong to that state, the sources told UNI here.

Munish, 14, a tenth standard boy, was abducted, while he was returning to his home from his school.

The sources said the family members of the school boy had not received any more ransom calls since yesterday, but claimed that as per their information the boy was safe.

The team is ''quite close'' to the kidnappers, who would soon be arrested, they added.

Asserting that the kidnappers would soon be arrested, Hamirpur SP Asif Jalal told UNI here that the Himachal Police was expecting to solve the case soon.

He, however, refused to elaborate further, saying it would affect their investigations.
