Diploma programme in Logistics, Supply Chain Management

Tiruchirapalli, Apr 19 (UNI) The Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (IECD), Bharathidasan University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bangalore-based Lead Global Management Institute (LGMI) to offer Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

In a release here today, IECD Director K Parthasarathy said there was a growing need for professionals in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, globally listed as a sector that would change the way of business in the 21st century.

About 1.5 lakh such professionals were required every year to meet the business challenges of providing products and services to internal and external customers, in a quick and cost-effective manner.

The LGMI was managed by business heads of leading establishments, technical experts of public and private sector undertakings, and academicians of prestigious management institutes.

The courses for the plus two passed/diploma/degree holders and examination would be conducted in Bangalore and certificates would be given by the University. IECD and LGMI would facilitate placement of candidates upon completion of the programmes, he added.
