Illegally 'staying' citizens deported to PoK
Jammu, Apr 18: Three citizens of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), who were illegally ''staying'' in tehsil Mendhar of Poonch district, were deported to their homeland by the Indian authorities, official sources here today said.
Sources said PoK civilians entered this side of the border after they crossed the Line of Control (LOC) through Chakkan-Da-Bagh on February 25 while they were deported yesterday evening to PoK after opening of Chakkan-Da-Bagh point at Mendhar.
''Three civilians were scheduled to return on April 7 but they did not turn up on the date of their return to PoK,'' the sources told UNI, adding that they were traced in the house of one Bashir Ahmed at Sakhi Maidan in tehsil Mendhar.
However, they have been identified as Zaib-ul-Nissa and her daughter Zareen-ul-Nissa and Abdul Majeed, all residents of Hajeera in PoK.
