Bicycle-borne farmer couple killed by speeding car
Hoshiarpur, Apr 18 (UNI) A bicycle-borne farmer couple was killed on the spot today when hit by a speeding car near Mona Kalan Maur crossing in the district.
According to police, the deceased identified as Avtar Kaur and her husband Jarnail Singh of Rehana Khurd, were on way to their fields on their bicycle when the car hit their vehicle.
The Safari car driver, identified as Buta Singh of Arhana Jattan, tried to flee, but was caught by the people.
A case under sections 304 A, 279, 338 and 427 of the IPC has been registered in Mehtiana police station against Buta Singh in this connection.
