UP: Action against 5 lax cops in Agra

Agra, Apr 18: Action has been taken against five policemen, following a clash between two groups in Lohamandi area here, police sources said today.

In a raid at Saiyadpara colony, police had recovered mutilated carcasses of cows, following which the two groups had clashed yesterday. Eight people were also arrested in connection with the crime.

Following the incident, Lohamandi's station in charge R S Rana and Alamganj's chowki in charge Rajkeshar had been suspended for laxity in duty, the sources said.

Besides, three constables had been attached to line.

A vigil was being maintained to avoid any fresh violence in the area, the sources added.
