Tibetans try to storm Chinese consulate in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 17, 2008 : Tibetan exiles in India's western Mumbai attempt to storm the Chinese Consulate before the torch relay in the national Capital New Delhi. Despite the fact that the Chinese Consulate was barricaded and at least 100 police personnel were posted outside it, the exiles tried to barge into the consulate.

Fearing more protests, Indian authorities have beefed up security ahead of the Olympic torch relay.
