New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) Virender Sehwag's triple century in the Chennai Test against South Africa in the recently concluded Future cup series has taken him to the top spot in the CASTROL Cricket Rating.
Sehwag, who capped a memorable comeback to the national team on the tour of Australia with an innings of 151 in the final Test, went on to become only the third batsman in Test history after Sir Don Bradman and Brian Lara to score two triple centuries in Test cricket.
The swashbuckling opener currently leads the rating with 57 points.
Meanwhile, at second place in the CASTROL Rating is the Pace sensation Ishant Sharma, the find of the Australian tour. He has 49 points to his credit.
All-rounder Irfan Pathan and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are at the third and fourth spots with 48 and 46 points respectively.
Batting mastero Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh, who was man of the series of the recently concluded Future cup series were tied with 45 points each.
