Scribes court arrest in Chhattisgarh
Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, Apr 17 (UNI) Scribes led by Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) President K Vikram Rao courted arrest here today in support of a demand for releasing freelance journalist Sai Reddy who was arrested for allegedly aiding Naxals in this district.
About 100 mediapersons from various parts of the state took out a procession from the circuit house to the prison gate. The journalists who courted arrest were freed later.
''A statewide agitation will be launched if Mr Reddy is not released,'' warned IFWJ Chhattisgarh unit President Narayan Sharma.
